The first single malt whisky ever distilled in the Cotswolds, England—full of rich history, stunning scenery, charming old towns, and thatched cottages.

When founder and CEO, Daniel Szor, and his team first set out to build a brand new distillery in the heart of the Cotswolds, they knew they wanted to use the best possible kit, traditional methods and the highest quality raw ingredients.

Under the guidance of renowned industry legends Harry Cockburn (former Distillery Manager at Bowmore) and the late Dr Jim Swan (fondly known as ‘the Einstein of whisky’ for his formidable knowledge of the science of distillation and maturation), the Cotswolds Distillery was born—and production began in September 2014.

Whisky production is at the heart of everything done at the distillery. The Cotswolds Single Malt is a rich, fruity and sippable whisky. It has a balance and depth of flavour that belies its young age, due to the exceptional attention to detail in our distilling and our use of the finest oak casks for maturation.

The distillery began laying down casks to mature in September 2014, and have filled a number of different types—hinting at the exciting releases to come. This dedication to subtle experimentation will add variety to the range as the years progress.
